Fundraising Legislation and Regulation
One of FIA's expanding roles has been in providing advocacy work, and
liaison with government concerning legislation affecting
not-for-profits. FIA members receive regular information on the work FIA
is conducting in this regard. For more information on the benefits of

FIA’s current advocacy campaign has met with outstanding
success. Meetings with members of parliament in most states have
resulted in promising outcomes with ministers and ministerial staff in
five states looking at establishing industry/government working
parties to look at issues of fundraising legislation.
FIA's Fundraising Regulation Advisory Panel is considering our next
strategies in FIA’s mission to put fundraising legislation to the
fore of political thinking.
