FIA Chapter 4 (SA/NT)
Welcome to Chapter 4. Whether you are new to fundraising or a seasoned fundraising professional your membership of FIA plays a crucial part in your career development and advancing the industry.
The fundraising industry in Australia is on the cusp of a revolution with the humble fundraiser no longer seen as well meaning volunteer selling a few raffle tickets or lamingtons. Government, business, community and the nonprofit sector are now demanding fundraisers to be professional and accountable, they also see fundraisers as change agents to help provide the financial resources to allow the not for profit sector to meet community demands.
Chapter 4 is managed by a small but enthusiastic Executive Committee comprising of fundraisers who volunteer their time to provide FIA members with the necessary tools to allow them to reach their full potential in this rewarding industry.
This year Chapter 4 members will have the opportunity to undertake Continuous Professional Development (CPD) through the following programs;
Besides the education opportunities your involvement with FIA will provide you with unparallel networking opportunities with fundraiser all over Australia. Through your Chapters you also have a voice on a national level in which FIA is working with government and other stakeholders to develop national standards for fundraising activities in addition to working towards self regulating the industry.
