This session will be presented by Alexis Denby, Marketing Specialist, Mobile Products, Telstra. Alexis is an outstanding marketer who will present the inside story on how the big telco makes campaigns happen.

 

 

Alexis has had three successful years in direct marketing at Telstra and is currently responsible for developing creative and copy across all mediums and channels.

Join your Chapter 1 colleagues as we return to the newly refurbished Kooyong Tennis Club to discover exactly what is the common ground between this investment banker and we fundraisers.

 

This very informative session will be presented by Christopher Thorn, Executive Director, Philanthropic Services Division, JB Were and will address:

 

• The background to the establishment of a Philanthropic Services Division within J B Were
• The role of the Philanthropic Services Division
• Why the company undertook such a role within its scope of operations
• The importance of fundraisers understanding of Major Donors expectations

 

  Christopher is the Executive Director of the firm’s Philanthropic Services team, where his primary responsibilities include raising awareness of philanthropic issues; providing advice on investment and capital management to individuals and organisations wishing to implement a philanthropic strategy; and fostering relationships between interested parties in order to facilitate the giving process.

Skills 1: The Foundations of Fundraising  

 

Are you new to fundraising?

 

Have you been fundraising for a few years but never undertaken any formal training in fundraising?

 

Then Skills 1 is a MUST for you!

 

The Skills workshop is recognised nation-wide by FIA members as an essential foundation stone for professional fundraising knowledge. Achievement of Skills 1 education is now highly sought after by many employers as a minimum requirement.

 

The Skills 1 workshop is designed to provide participants with a solid understanding of each core fundraising discipline. The workshop is led by some of Chapter 1’s most experienced fundraisers.
