FIA Chapter 2 (NSW)
Welcome to the Chapter 2 Section. This section details
upcoming training and events, meeting dates and the contact details
for your local executive committee details. These pages are updated on
an ongoing basis, so please check back for details of future events.
Chapter 2 offers a variety of different events - from the more
formal professional development luncheons and breakfasts to State
Conference to Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
Special Interest Group meetings are aimed at a specific components of
the fundraising profession. These sessions allow for informal networking
and education amongst those is your specific field.
Call for Nominations for Additional
Director
Nominations are called for the position of Additional Director for
Chapter 2 (NSW) to the FIA Board in accordance with Clause 35 (c) of the
Constitution.
37(c)
Chapters with
one hundred and fifty (150) Voting Members or more at the time of
appointment of a Director pursuant to clause 37(a) shall be entitled at
that time to appoint from within the entire membership of the chapter
(1) additional Director, such appointee to take and hold office in
accordance with clause 37(a). Should the number of Voting Members at any
time fall below one hundred and fifty (150), then the provision for the
one additional Director shall lapse upon the retirement of the
additional Director appointed pursuant to this
clause3(c).

The two-year appointment will commence March 2010. FIA's Board meets
four times a year (March, August, November and February) and by
teleconference approximately bimonthly. FIA meets expenses incurred in
attending these meetings. Some directors are appointed to committees or
taskforces drawing on their particular expertise.

Friday 23 October 2009
Should an election be required it will be conducted in accordance
with the FIA Constitution.

Executive – Nominations Now Open
The Chapter Annual Meeting is to be held on 26 November 2009 (Rule
17). As I near the end of my term, it is with great pleasure that
our CEO, Chris McMillan, and I invite you to consider your own
involvement on the Chapter 2 Executive..
If you believe in making fundraising a profession to be proud of,
then we invite you to consider being part of the leadership team for
your chapter (Chapter 2 – NSW) of fundraising professionals.
We are delighted to announce that Mark Hindle, has been elected by
your Chapter Executive as the incoming Chapter 2 President for 2010 and
2011.
There are many activities to be planned and organised. As always, we
are looking to provide outstanding training and professional
development, monthly lunches, special interest groups, membership
support, government relations, promotion of sponsorship opportunities,
state conference, CEO forums and a Chapter e-newsletter.
Our Chapter strength comes from the members who volunteer to be a
part of the chapter executive!
We hope you choose to volunteer and help to make next year an
outstanding year of service delivery and innovation through being a part
of the Chapter 2 leadership team.
