“Look I’m absolutely delighted. That’s wonderful news. It’s so cold here. It’s news that’s really warmed me significantly because Arthur was my mentor and it’s personally a great privilege to have won the award and I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in putting me in for it. It’s really a great thrill and I would love to be with you at the Xmas function and having Arthur there and to shake his hand. It’s a real privilege. Thanks everybody.” |

Reflections from Graham
“To be the recipient of the this award is a real privilege. This Award, I understand, is not so much about my work, as an affirmation of how I am perceived by others. I find that very humbling and I am deeply grateful for the honour. Arthur Venn has always been ‘there’ for fundraisers, taking the time to encourage people with a passion for fundraising. His wisdom and warmth inspired me.While our paths rarely crossed, I respected and admired him, especially in his two terms as Chapter One President.
While I have also tried to encourage others and assist them in learning fundraising skills, I never believed that one day I would have my name in the same sentence as Arthur Venn!"
