FMD Course Structure

Students undertaking FIA's Fundraising Management Diploma need to complete nine modules consisting of:

All three core modules from Section A;
Three additional modules chosen from Section B; plus
Three elective modules chosen from Section C, or modules not already selected from Section B

Section A - Core Modules
(You are required to complete all three of these modules)

FMD01 - Principles of Fundraising
FMD02 - Fundraising Tools, Techniques and Resources
FMD03 - Legal and Ethical Frameworks of Fundraising

Section B - Additional Modules
(Select three modules from this list)

FMD04 - Relationship Fundraising
FMD05 - Marketing and Fundraising
FMD06 - Database Marketing
FMD07 - Capital Campaigns, Major Gifts and Bequests
FMD08 - Preparation of Fundraising Materials

Section C - Electives
(Select three modules from this list AND modules not selected from Section B)

FMD09 - Workplace Project
FMD10 - Portfolio of Professional Development
FMD11 - Preparation of CFRE Portfolio of Evidence
