SA State Conference

Spend the day with some of Australia's best fundraisers! Eight hours of learning, sharing ideas and hearing all about what is working in major gifts, bequests, events, direct mail and integrated fundraising programs.

FIA Special Interest Groups provide informal opportunities for fundraisers  interested in specific topics to learn from other charities' experiences and  participate in peer to peer discussions.

Bequest Special Interest Group

The Bequest Special Interest Group is hosted by Martin Carolan Development Manager RSPCA. Martin is a passionate advocate for bequest fundraising with more than 15 years’ experience in marketing and fundraising in both Australia and the UK.

Direct Mail Special Interest Group

The Direct Mail Special Interest Group is hosted by Andrew Sabatino, Executive Manager Business Development, Guide Dogs South Australia. Andrew has more than 12 years’ experience in marketing and fundraising both in Australia and the UK, specialising in direct mail. Before joining Guide Dogs Andrew worked with charities such as The Cancer Council NSW, Amnesty International, Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, RSPCA UK, Bernardo's UK and the UK's largest charity the NSPCC.

FIA State Awards

Nominations are now open for the FIA SA/NT State awards: Young Fundraiser of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.

These state awards are an opportunity to recognise the amazing young fundraisers and volunteers in South Australia and Northern Territory.  

State winners will be announced at the annual Christmas event in December, with the winners going on to compete for the national title. Get behind our rising stars of fundraising and our generous volunteers and nominate them for a State Award.

Bequest Special Interest Group Series

A four-part Bequest Special Interest Group series with the first session being held on Friday 29 August (note, date change). 

Session 1 – Include a Charity Week- a round table discussion and think tank on what you can do to utilise this IAC to promote bequest to your donors.
Session 2 - The Mechanics of a good Bequests Program – what does a robust program look like?
Session 3 – Session will be based on the needs of the special interest group
Session 4 - Session will be based on the needs of the special interest group
