Fundraising to ensure the long-term sustainability of your organisation’s continued delivery of its mission is both challenging and fulfilling.  Strategic Grants exists to help charities raise funds specifically through the acquisition of grants from philanthropic and government sources.

Having started her own Grants Consultancy business in 2002, Director of Strategic Grants, Jo Garner, has had the privilege of helping charities across Australia raise millions of dollars to deliver important projects that are meeting community need including: Medical research; Health services; Animal welfare; Alternative education programs; Homelessness; Disability; Alcohol and drug treatment and rehabilitation programs; Aged care; Crime prevention and Welfare.

Jo has been a Professional Fundraiser since 1994, holds the international accreditation, Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Marketing and IT. In 2010 Jo was President of the Qld Chapter of FIA and sat on the national board of directors. In December 2009, Jo assumed the position of President of the Qld Chapter of FIA and sits on the national board of directors.  Jo is also a regular conference presenter on effective grants programs and presents at various FIA Skills training courses.

Strategic Grants works with charities and non-profit organisations across different levels including:

• Reviewing existing grants programs to identify what current processes can be strengthened to increase success rate;
• Provision of professional mentoring and advisory services to improve an existing grants program;
• Researching prospective funding sources;
• Assistance with overflow writing of grant applications when organisational resources are stretched;
• Completely implementing and managing a grants program in consultation with your organisation's Senior Management;
• Organisational and project evaluation.
