Peer to Peer Fundraising Events

This interactive course is not about running a gala ball or about the logistics of events – It’s about the strategy behind creating and participating in peer-to-peer fundraising events, and how to market those opportunities.

Using recent data, this one-day course will delve into case studies and real-world examples. Topics to be covered include:

  • an overview of the fundraising landscape (the three pillars of online fundraising)
  • overall benefits of events (including: financial, cause awareness, branding and donor acquisition)
  • why people participate in events
  • types of participants (and those most likely to raise the most money)
  • why your organisation should participate in third party events
  • why charities hold their own signature fundraising events
  • how to attract more and leverage your existing DIY fundraisers.
  • how to engage with your participants using multiple channels
  • how to leverage corporate partners in events
  • a variety of marketing tools to use to drive success through your events
  • how to evaluate your events.

This course is suitable for those new to events and/or fundraising and senior members of an organisation who want to better understand the events and community fundraising space.
