Brisbane - What you don't know WILL hurt you

This is a session you simply cannot afford to miss. Ethics, regulation and best practice form the backdrop of the challenges for fundraising in Australia and the turmoil of what happened in the UK in 2015. This session is not about the perspectives of the panellists, but an opportunity for you to ask the hard questions to help reframe your understanding, be aware of the challenges and align with best practice.

Gold Coast - 12 Steps to Improve Your Donor Experience

Stephen Mally MFIA CFRE will present the Top 12 Lessons Learned Mystery Shopping Your Organisations to enlighten us  in what he has witnessed in the following: gift giving experiences, donor care activities, re-solicitation and upgrade processes; and acquisition practices. This event is designed especially for fundraisers, fundraising leaders and not-for-profit leaders who want to provide a better giving experience for their donors.

CFRE Coaching Sessions & Study Groups

Let us help you achieve your credential

Do you want to demonstrate your professional achievement and support the growth of fundraising as a trusted profession? Do you want a credential that offers a common understanding of what you need to know in fundraising? 

The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential sets the standard for knowledge, experience and ethics and is held in high regard by fundraising professionals worldwide. 

To assist you in achieving your CFRE credential, FIA offers Queensland CFRE candidates the benefit of attending a CFRE Coaching Session and/or the CFRE Study Group free of charge.

About the QLD CFRE Coaching Sessions

Join Lesley Ray FFIA CFRE and Nigel Harris FFIA CFRE in a coaching session which will set you on your path to achieving your CFRE. Lesley and Nigel have been running CFRE coaching sessions for the last eight years.

Their coaching sessions provide you with:

  • assistance completing and submitting your CFRE application
  • assistance with setting up study arrangements.

About the CFRE Study Group

The CFRE Study Group is currently chaired by Stephen Mally CFRE of FundraisingForce. The group meets in person (Salvation Army) for those in Sydney and is offered via Skype access to those in other locations. The majority of participants currently participate via Skype from Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and regional locations. 

The study group provides you with:

  • focused study sessions, in a 'book club' format to complete chapters in texts with your peers also taking the exam
  • assistance completing and submitting your CFRE application
  • advice on resources to study for the CFRE exam
  • insight into taking the CFRE exam.

Nearly 100 per cent of the participants in the CFRE Study Group pass the CFRE exam on the first try.

Meeting dates are:

  • 11 May - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 22 June - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 27 July - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 24 August - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
