 Direct Mail Special Interest Group

The Direct Mail Special Interest Group is hosted by Andrew Sabatino, Executive Manager Business Development, Guide Dogs South Australia. Andrew has more than 12 years’ experience in marketing and fundraising both in Australia and the UK, specialising in direct mail. Before joining Guide Dogs Andrew worked with charities such as The Cancer Council NSW, Amnesty International, Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, RSPCA UK, Bernardo's UK and the UK's largest charity the NSPCC.

CFRE Study Group

Let us help you acheive your credential

FIA is working with candidates striving to gain their Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) accreditation. The CFRE Study Group will help you with the application and exam preparation processes. To date, almost 100 per cent of the participants who have attended the group and taken the exam have passed and been awarded their CFRE credential.

This study group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month in Sydney, and via Skype for those in locations outside Sydney. 

The group will meet on the following dates in 2016:

  • Wednesday 27 January 2016
  • Wednesday 24 February 2016
  • Wednesday 23 March 2016
  • Wednesday 27 April 2016
  • Wednesday 25 May 2016
  • Wednesday 22 June 2016

Bequest Special Interest Group Series

A four-part Bequest Special Interest Group series with the first session being held on Friday 29 August (note, date change). 

Session 1 – Include a Charity Week- a round table discussion and think tank on what you can do to utilise this IAC to promote bequest to your donors.
Session 2 - The Mechanics of a good Bequests Program – what does a robust program look like?
Session 3 – Session will be based on the needs of the special interest group
Session 4 - Session will be based on the needs of the special interest group
