Include a Charity Week Seminar and Workshop

Include a Charity Week will be held this year from 5 - 11 September. We will be holding breakfast seminars and workshops around Australia featuring international speaker Stephen George, UK fundraising and leadership consultant and coach.

Signature Leadership Breakfast: Are you Privacy Compliant?

As fundraisers it's our job to know as much as we can about our donors to help us communicate effectively and meaningfully. In turn, donors trust us to do the right thing, not only with their donations but also with their personal information - should trust be broken it's very hard to rebuild especially in the not-for-profit world. It has been two years since the Privacy Act was amended. Significant changes came into effect and with those changes comes some confusion. Rob Edwards, Chief Executive Officer of Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) brings insight into the key points of the Privacy Act and its principles. Rob will answer any burning questions you may have, so you can leave confident that you are privacy compliant.

Roundtable Breakfast - New date

This roundtable networking breakfast is an opportunity for fundraisers who are working in similar areas of fundraising (and those who want to!) to get together and share ideas, tips and perhaps even what not to do. This is also your chance to ask those “burning questions” you have always wanted to know the answer to! Each of the six tables will focus on a different area of fundraising and will be hosted by a Table Captain who is an experienced fundraising professional in that area.

CFRE Study Group

Let us help you achieve your credential

FIA offer a monthly study group, free of charge, for CFRE candidates. The study group covers: 

  • assistance completing and submitting your CFRE application.
  • insights into taking the CFRE exam.
  • advice on resources to study for the CFRE exam.
  • focused study sessions, in a “book club” format to complete chapters in texts with peers also taking the exam.

Almost 100 per cent of participants in the CFRE Study Group have passed the CFRE exam at their first attempt.
The CFRE Study Group is chaired by Stephen Mally CFRE, Director of FundraisingForce.
The group meets in person (Salvation Army) for those in Sydney and is offered via Skype access to those in other locations.
