Special Interest Group - Health Futures 

The Health Futures WA Special Interest Group, supported by Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA), welcomes professionals working towards a better health future to a regular informal mentoring and collaboration session.This session is designed for people in development, fundraising, stakeholder/community engagement, relationship management, social enterprise and related general management. Make sure you register for the Special Interest Group!

Include a Charity Week Seminar and Workshop

Include a Charity Week will be held this year from 5 - 11 September. We will be holding breakfast seminars and workshops around Australia featuring international speaker Stephen George, UK fundraising and leadership consultant and coach.

Roundtable Breakfast - New date

This roundtable networking breakfast is an opportunity for fundraisers who are working in similar areas of fundraising (and those who want to!) to get together and share ideas, tips and perhaps even what not to do. This is also your chance to ask those “burning questions” you have always wanted to know the answer to! Each of the six tables will focus on a different area of fundraising and will be hosted by a Table Captain who is an experienced fundraising professional in that area.

FIA WA 2016 Fundraising Forum - Putting it into Perspective

The 2016 FIA West Australian Fundraising Forum will bring together interstate and local experts to talk about all things fundraising. We have brought together some of the best speakers in their fields to talk about subjects relevant to both big and small charities. To date, we can announce that we have the legendary Sean Triner, co-founder of the Pareto Group of companies; Christina Stergiou, a fundraiser, consultant, copywriter, blogger and founder of Scribbly Bark and Andrew Sabatino, FIA National Young Fundraiser of the Year 2016. We are incredibly excited to have Mr David Flanagan, former Western Australian of the Year and Western Australian Business Leader of the Year as our Plenary Speaker. David will provide his own personal insight into leading at the top, corporate philanthropy and inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.

CFRE Study Group

Let us help you achieve your credential

FIA offer a monthly study group, free of charge, for CFRE candidates. The study group covers: 

  • assistance completing and submitting your CFRE application.
  • insights into taking the CFRE exam.
  • advice on resources to study for the CFRE exam.
  • focused study sessions, in a “book club” format to complete chapters in texts with peers also taking the exam.

Almost 100 per cent of participants in the CFRE Study Group have passed the CFRE exam at their first attempt.
The CFRE Study Group is chaired by Stephen Mally CFRE, Director of FundraisingForce.
The group meets in person (Salvation Army) for those in Sydney and is offered via Skype access to those in other locations.

  • 11 May - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 22 June - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 27 July - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
  • 24 August - 5.00pm - 7.00pm
